Hallmark has released details of its Countdown to Christmas 2024 movie, Hanukkah on the Rocks. Starring Stacey Farber, Daren Kagasoff, and Marc Summers, the movie tells the story of Tory (Farber), who gets laid off from her job and gets roped into bartending at a local bar during Hanukkah.

According to TV Insider, Tory is a corporate lawyer, dedicated to her work. However, shortly before Hanukkah, she finds herself unemployed and questioning her career.

Meanwhile, Tory has been so focused on what she believes other people want that she has forgotten what she wants. Meanwhile, she needs a pivot, as she has lost all of her joy in life and is feeling lost. Moreover, the holiday season is a time of self-reflection and there is nothing like family to help with that.

Meanwhile, Tory now has plenty of free time to help her Bubby, but she hasn’t yet told her family about losing her job. The first thing she does is to go on a quest across Chicago to find the last box of coveted Hanukkah candles and by chance, she ends up at Rocky’s, a bar in the Old Town.

There, Tory meets Jay Rosen (Kagasoff), a handsome and charming doctor from Florida, along with his grandfather, Sam Rosen (Summers), who is a lot of fun. She soon starts rethinking what she has always wanted in life.

Meanwhile, Tory is torn between keeping her job loss secret and embracing a newfound sense of belonging. She ends up bartending at Rocky’s, transforming it into the vibrant Hanukkah on the Rocks celebrations. Through festive foods, games and drinks, Tory revitalizes the bar, bonds with Jay and finds the courage to pursue her true calling.
