Coming to Hallmark Channel on Saturday is a new, original movie titled Girlfriendship as part of the Fall Into Love programming event. The movie stars Tamera Mowry-Housley, Krystal Joy Brown, Lyndie Greenwood and Brad James. Read on to find out what we know about this new movie coming to our screens on October 1.

Girlfriendship heads into nature on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, Girlfriendship tells the story of three best friends, planning a birthday celebration for Samara Williams (Mowry-Housley). Samara’s friends, Eva (Brown) and Renee (Greenwood) long to whisk her away for a fun surprise girls’ trip to Charleston.

However, a mix-up in their booking sends the three girls on a back-to-nature “rewilding” retreat instead of the full-filled vacation they had planned. Meanwhile, the Rewilding Woman Retreat is led by Ariella (Samantha Beaulieu), a descendant of the Gullah Geechee people of Edisto Island off the South Carolina coast.

Meanwhile, Ariella helps the three best friends uncover their true nature by getting back to nature among the alluring charm of the island. However, on Samara’s part, the island isn’t the only attraction. When she meets Kareem (James), a handsome Gullah doctor with a secret dream of becoming a chef, Samara starts to listen to the call of her own inner artist. In fact, she finds herself painting again for the first time in years.

Before the girls head back to the mainland, they learn that there are no accidents and that they are exactly where they need to be.

Tamera Mowry is known for her roles in The Santa Stakeout and Sister, Sister. Meanwhile, Krystal Joy Brown starred in The Equalizer and One Royal Holiday. The third girlfriend, Lyndie Greenwood has been seen in Sleepy Hollow and Being Erica.

As for Brad James, he is known for his roles in Outer Banks and A House Divided. As for Samantha Beaulieu, she is known for starring in Queen Sugar and Bad Moms.
