Inventing the Christmas Prince on Hallmark Channel
The new, original movie, Inventing the Christmas Prince is set to make a young girl’s holidays out of this world. According to the official synopsis, Tamera Mowry-Housley stars as Shelby, a hard-working rocket engineer and devoted mother to her daughter, Grace (Isabel Birch). Since Shelby’s husband passed away some years ago, she has done her best to keep the magic of Christmas alive for her daughter. In fact, Grace particularly loves a fantastical tale she invented when she was a young child.
In the story, the Christmas Prince is a magical figure with a snow-white horse and carriage, who is an unparalleled storyteller. However, he is also best friends with Santa and is known to grant wishes. However, when Shelby’s Grinch-like boss Evan (Ronnie Rowe Jr.) tries to force everyone to work over the holidays, she is set to walk out. However, just as Grace comes in and mistakes him for the prince from the story, Evan must make a major decision. He knows he can’t afford to lose another employee, so he begs Shelby to stay and she agrees, on one condition. Evan must play along, pretending to be the Christmas Prince for Grace.

In his role as the prince, Evan must fulfill eight of Grace’s wishes, including a sleepover appearance, taking her to high tea, and taking Shelby out to dinner. As Shelby sees the positive effect Evan has on her daughter, she begins to see her boss in a new light. However, when Evan’s work conflicts with an important promise he made to Grace, Shelby is afraid her daughter’s heart would break for a second time. However, possibly Grace is right and Shelby just needs to keep believing in the magic of the Christmas Prince.

Tamera Mowry-Housley, who plays Shelby has been seen in a number of roles including The Santa Stakeout and Sister, Sister. Meanwhile, Ronnie Rowe Jr., who plays Evan, has starred in Star-Trek: Discovery and The Porter. As for Isabel Birch who plays Grace, she has been previously seen in the Baby-Sitters Club.
According to the official IMDb page, other cast members include Mercedes Blanche as Rosie, Mark Brandon as John and Requell Jodeah as Jayne. Meanwhile, Dan Zukovic stars as George the maître d’ and Brady Droulis plays the role of Sherman.
