Hallmark TGW premiere episode opens with Cassie and Sam are celebrating their one year anniversary. At breakfast, Cassie gives Sam a gift, handwritten lyrics from Paul McCartney. He loves it. They make plans to meet tonight for dinner.

Maratha arrives at Abigail’s looking for flowers. She needs them for the new Mayor’s mansion once owned by Roderick Davenport. Abigail tells her she won’t sell her flowers, it is the Davenports who cursed her and her boyfriend, Donovan.

Cassie welcomes a guest named Joy to the inn. Joy is in town for a job she is interested in. After she brings her to her room, the woman takes out a piece of paper. It seems the woman has been researching Cassie.

Martha, Sam, and Cassie are looking at some music boxes. One of them has three secret spaces for three gems. They are looking into a love affair between two Middleton residents and the music box is going to tell them more.

Abigail meets with Donovan for lunch. They both get fortune cookies with the same terrible message about love and heartbreak.

Cassie speaks with Joy. She finds her taking pictures of the inn. Joy shares that she has been on her own for a long time. Cassie guesses her parents died in a car accident and it seems she is right.

Martha discovers she isn’t the only one with her eye on the Davenport mansion. Her arch-nemesis is also placing a bid. Meanwhile, Stephanie is having trouble with her new partner Lisa. Cassie thinks she needs to be more open to Lisa’s business suggestions.

Abigail tells Cassie about the fortune cookies. Cassie tells her that the same fortune was problematic in thousands of cookies.

Stephanie and Lisa agree to make changes and look at them in a week to see if they are working. Joy arrives at the shop and speaks with Abigail. Joy orders chocolate. Meanwhile, Sam is stressing out about what to buy Cassie.

Joy arrives to see Martha. She wants to decorate the Davenport mansion. Martha tells her she is in the midst of a bidding war. Joy helps her write a letter to a seller.

Abigail runs into Donovan at the library. Abigail is returning a book from the shop she and Cassie found. Donovan is looking for that same book, Great Expectation. Inside they find a stamp with the name Davenport.

Sam and Cassie are making dinner when Nick comes home. He needs peace and quiet to work. Cassie guesses he has a girlfriend at school. She is right. Nick blushes.

Abigail and Donovan talk with his mother about the book. She reveals she is in a bidding war with Martha for the Davenport mansion.

Joy speaks with George at the inn. She has a lot of questions about Cassie and the family. George is welcoming. Meanwhile, Stephanie sees she has a problem with her food.

Dottie pays Martha a visit. Dottie plans to win over the seller with lots of money. Martha wants to explode. Cassie and Abigail talk. They realize Joy is up to something, they are just waiting for her to tell them what.

Joy and Martha meet to persuade the seller. Stephanie and Lisa talk. They need to reassess and fast. Nick and Sam talk about Sam’s gift idea for his anniversary. Nick is also looking for a gift for his girl.

Abigail and Donovan head to the Davenport mansion. They place the book into the one open slot in the library. A door opens and they find Martha and Joy who are thrilled to be saved. Somehow they couldn’t get out of the room. Dottie and the seller arrive moments later. He never even knew about the room. Joy tells him Martha found it. Thee seller wants Martha to have the house.

Cassie and Lisa talk after she visits the shop. Lisa never had a problem blogging. Cassie thinks she should do it again. Meanwhile, Abigail and Donovan look for clues into why they are cursed.

Cassie and Sam meet for their annual celebration. At the front door of the lake house, Sam has trouble getting into the door. Just like the night they met.

Stephanie and Lisa talk. Lisa thinks she is going to stick to writing. She asks Stephanie to buy her out. Stephanie agrees.

Martha opens the Mayor’s hidden safe. She shows Abigail and Donovan the music box. She shows them the heart of Middleton. Abigail touches the ruby and it cracks.

Cassie and Sam sit and drink wine. They eat the top of their wedding cake before he brings out paper lanterns to float into the sky. Cassie thinks they are perfect.
