The double set of trilogies released by Hallmark Channel was hugely popular with fans, seeing The Wedding Veil doing its rounds.

Now, Hallmark has decided to give the guys a turn in a rom-com comedy, The Groomsmen. The movies were announced during the network’s Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday. Meanwhile, the cast is Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt as the hunky groomsmen themselves.

The Groomsmen is a rom-com trilogy inspired by The Wedding Veil, but in this case, it concentrates on the guys this time. Meanwhile, the movies star Tyler Hynes (Three Wise Men and a Baby, An Unexpected Christmas), Jonathan Bennett (The Christmas House movies, Mean Girls) and B.J. Britt (The Holiday Stocking, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

According to TVLine, The trilogy already has titles, with The Groomsmen First Look, The Groomsmen Second Chances, and The Groomsmen Last Dance.

According to the official description, the Hallmark+ trilogy “takes viewers on the journey of a lifetime as three best friends come together to celebrate their wedding days in the breathtaking destinations of Greece, Italy and Bulgaria,” adding:

As they navigate complex relationships with friends, love interests and family members, this movie trilogy is filled with heart, humor and charm. Pete (Britt), a kind-hearted pediatrician with a penchant for planning; Danny (Bennett), a baseball coach with a heart of gold; and Jackson (Hynes), a stylish and charming social media agent, lean on each other and draw strength from the bonds they share from the special brotherhood built over the years.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Bennett and Tyler Hynes, who are also set to star in the upcoming Christmas movies, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story and Three Wiser Men and a Boy) serve as executive producers for the trilogy.

Ron Oliver directed all three movies in the trilogy, which were filmed on location in Greece, Italy, and Bulgaria, and all three were filmed in just 45 days.

As for the premieres of the movies, they are expected to debut this fall on the new streaming service, Hallmark+.

As a reminder, Hallmark’s first rom-com trilogy, The Wedding Veil series, aired in 2022. Each starred fan favorites Alison Sweeney, Lacey Chabert and Autumn Reeser, who played “three longtime college friends who discover a mysterious, antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love.”

Moreover, Hallmark Channel premiered a second trilogy of movies in January 2023, with all three Hallmark actresses reprising their roles.
