“The Way Home”, Season 3 Spoilers: Major Del Story Up Ahead?

It’s been a hot minute since The Way Home’s Season 2 finale hit; however, with Season 3 on the horizon, it’s hard for fans to refrain from speculating on what storylines could unravel.

There was a major time-travel reveal with Colton Landry’s (Jefferson Brown) past, so audiences are certainly interested in taking a deeper dive into this story next season.

Of course, there’s also the possibility of a major storyline centering around Jacob Landry (Remy Smith), who has returned to the present time. Del Landry (Andie MacDowell) has dealt with so much trauma, heartache, and turmoil over losing her son.

It’s hard not to think that she’ll potentially take center stage in Season 3, if and when she and Jacob are finally reunited.

After the fallout from The Way Home’s Season 2, there’s a good possibility that a spotlight is placed on Del during Season 3l.

Alexandra Clark, the series’ co-showrunner recently told TV Line that fans will learn more about Del, stating, “That’s something that is going to be looked at a lot closer, under a bigger microscope, in Season 3 … In a weird way, even at the top of our Season 1 writers’ room, we always did think that Season 1 was really a journey for Alice and bringing her family back together, but also finding herself.

Season 2 is really the story of Kat and her quest to find Jacob and bring him home. So we do really love the idea of putting Del a little bit more under the microscope in a Season 3, because we know who she is, but we don’t. If you actually really look at it, there’s a lot under the surface that we have yet to really mine.”

The Way Home’s Season 2 finale took place in late March of this year, leaving fans stunned and wanting more.

While most viewers wish Season 3’s premiere date was happening sooner, it looks like this won’t happen until sometime in 2025.

The silver lining is that at least there is another season in the works, and the first new episode should help answer some lingering questions audience members have.
