Miracle in Bethlehem, PA on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
According to the official synopsis of the movie, one woman’s surprise blessing at Christmastime leads to the answer to other peoples’ prayers.
Mary Ann (Laura Vandervoort) is a successful lawyer who wants nothing more than to adopt a child and become a mother.
When her prayers are finally answered, she treks to Bethlehem, PA just before Christmas to meet her new baby. However, the bad weather forces her and her newborn daughter, Natalie, to delay their trip back home.
Meanwhile, the local inn is full, but its friendly innkeeper, Frankie (Amy Groening) has a solution to the problem. Her brother Joe (Benjamin Ayres) has a guest room in his home that she and Natalie can use. However, as a typical bachelor, Joe’s home is a mess, but he welcomes Mary Ann and Natalie and tries to make them comfortable.
As the bad weather continues, Mary Ann is forced to extend her stay, which gives her time to join Joe’s family’s pre-holiday celebrations, including Christmas activities at the town’s church.
As they spend more time together, it becomes clear to them, and everyone around them, that an attraction is growing.
Mary Ann and Joe open up to each other about personal challenges they are facing. For one thing, Mary Ann is hesitant to let her mother, who struggled as a single parent, know that she has adopted a baby on her own. Meanwhile, Joe shares that his life hasn’t been the same since his father passed away, who was his best friend.
As the couple connects through their shared faith and gets closer, they could be an unexpected blessing in each other’s lives.
