Yet Another Departure To Come!
On April 22, Vulture’s Josef Adalian broke the news on Bluesky: “SCOOP! If you enjoy streaming Hallmark shows and movies on Peacock, take note.
Starting May 1, the partnership between Peacock and Hallmark will come to an end,” he stated. “This means titles like THE WAY HOME and WHEN CALLS THE HEART will no longer be available, and new films won’t be available for next-day streaming. He continued, “Live feeds will also be discontinued;” and according to TV Line, Hallmark had a three-year agreement with the streaming service.
Therefore, if you’re concerned about how Hope Valley will cope without its beloved characters, it’s time to switch to Hallmark+. Subscribers can access all content there for $7.99 a month or $79.99 for a yearly subscription.
So, Why Did The Partnership Between The Two Channels Come To An End?

Adalian provided further details on the reasons behind the non-renewal of the contract between Peacock and Hallmark; in a follow-up post on Bluesky, he noted the following. “Hallmark and Peacock have collaborated since 2022, resulting in a mutually beneficial partnership; Peacock gained a wealth of quality content, while Hallmark tapped into the cord-cutting audience.
However, Hallmark is now fully committed to Hallmark+, and Peacock likely preferred not to continue funding content that competes with its own offerings.”
Hallmark+ features exclusive shows such as Home is Where the Heart Is starring Luke Macfarlane, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, and the scripted series The Chicken Sisters.
With Season 13 of When Calls the Heart not premiering until 2026, viewers have time to consider their options for enjoying Hallmark content — but Peacock will no longer be one of them.
