Ben Fell For Erin The Moment They Met
Ben Rosenbaum fell for Erin Krakow the moment they met. Now a leading man on Hallmark Channel, he stars in his first holiday film, The Christmas Cup, and is married to When Calls the Heart co-star Erin Krakow. He can’t stop praising her and describes their wedding day as “a great day in my life.”
A fan of Krakow since their 2009 collaboration, he hinted at starring in a romantic film with her. That is a wonderful idea since their WCTH characters are involved with different characters than they play there.
Ben Will Star In A Christmas Movie
The Christmas Cup premieres on Sunday, November 30, on Hallmark Channel, featuring six favorites from WCTH; before the movie’s debut, Rosenbaum chatted with Entertainment Now about leading his first Hallmark film.
He plays Fire Captain Quinn Stokley, who falls for Staff Sergeant Kelly Brandt (Rhiannon Fish), sidelined by a knee injury-while in her hometown for the annual Christmas Cup, Quinn falls for Kelly.

Rosenbaum shared that he has felt the love from Hearties since it was announced he would lead his first Hallmark Christmas movie. “And it feels great. It’s really nice; for years, it feels like now, there have been fans of WCTH who have taken a particular shine to my character, Mike Hickam.” he said. “I feel them lifting me up.”
Erin’s His Biggest Fan
There’s no bigger fan in his life than his wife, Erin Krakow, and the feeling is mutual; from the moment they began working together in 2009, Rosenbaum was enchanted by her. “Honestly, when Erin and I first met, I saw her in action and developed a crush on her talent,” he said. “She’s incredible on stage and screen.”
They worked at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis in The Importance of Being Earnest, where Krakow played Cecily and Rosenbaum was an understudy for Algernon and Jack.
They became friends, and their careers reunited them in New York for more stage shows. “We had more chances to connect, and a romance blossomed from there,” Rosenbaum shared.

Ben Doesn’t Want To Compete With Erin
Rosenbaum prefers not to compete with his wife; instead, he envisions them leading together-could it be that Krakow and Rosenbaum will one day star in their own romantic comedy?
“I think that would be really fun,” Rosenbaum expressed. The Hearties would certainly enjoy it too, as they continue to buzz about the couple’s wedding day.
The Christmas Cup is set to premiere on Sunday, November 30, at 6 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel. Additionally, it will be available for streaming 72 hours later on Hallmark+; in the meantime, the 13th season of When Calls the Heart is scheduled to premiere on January 4, 2026.
