Both Hallmark and Chris McNally have let slip some intriguing details about Lucas’s romantic arc in WCTH Season 12; what insights have they provided? To start, while promoting his Countdown To Christmas film, Holiday Crashers, Chris McNally shared some tantalizing tidbits about Lucas Bouchard with Swoon.

He mentioned, “There’s a new character arriving in town who poses a significant challenge to Lucas, and I sense there’s a spark of chemistry there. It’ll be interesting to see how that unfolds;” but noted that filming was still in progress, and he wanted to manage expectations for Hearties in case this new relationship didn’t flourish.

Nevertheless, he believes fans will find it enjoyable; “I think viewers will be thrilled to meet this new character and embark on that journey with them.”

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – Hallmark Spoke About The Character To TV Line

In a recent conversation with TV Line, Hallmark unveiled intriguing details about a new character.

They revealed, “A lawyer who has taken over her uncle’s cattle ranch near Hope Valley finds herself in conflict with Lucas regarding community policies.

As the season unfolds, viewers can expect to witness the evolution of their relationship, which may even ignite some romantic tension.”

The second episode of WCTH Season 12 is set to air on Sunday, January 12, at 9 p.m. Eastern on the Hallmark Channel  and on Hallmark + Monday, January 13. For those with Peacock subscriptions, the episode will be available to stream for up to 72 hours post-premiere.
