When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates reveal as WCTH enters season 13, there are several points to consider, including romance, drama, and the comeback of a beloved character.
It’s been quite a while since Brooke Shields appeared as Charlotte Thornton; however, she is returning this season for a storyline that could be particularly significant for Little Jack Thornton (Hyland Goodrich).
Questions, Questions, Questions About Little Jack, And How Much Charlotte Can Help
Will he be able to obtain the insulin he needs to survive, and how much assistance can Charlotte provide-these are two questions we ponder, but we remain quite optimistic. It’s difficult not to be, considering that the essence of this show is often wholesome and heartfelt.
Almost ten years after last wearing Charlotte Thornton’s historical attire, Brooke Shields shares that her return felt immediately familiar.
Reuniting with Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) and the tight-knit cast of Hope Valley was truly a joyful homecoming-Shields recognizes the special cultural impact that the long-running Hallmark series has made. And why its dedicated fan base, known as the ‘Hearties,’ stays so passionately loyal.
Shields Shared Her Thoughts With Parade Magazine, She Found Little Jack’s Diabetes Story Compelling
In an interview with Parade, Shields shared her thoughts on her return: “The show holds a special place in the zeitgeist. The fans are very generous, and it’s interesting to see how the series has grown over time.”
After reading the Season 13 scripts, two key elements stood out to the 60-year-old. She found Little Jack’s diabetes story compelling, especially since it was set in a time when it was not well understood and refrigeration was not common.
She added, “I have a Type 1 diabetic daughter diagnosed at 14, and this is the first major TV script I’ve seen with a real Type-1 diabetes storyline, which really resonates with me.”
She Is Also Impressed With Charlotte’s Positive Evolution, Considering The Historical Context Of The Show
Another aspect of Season 13 that intrigued her is Charlotte’s positive evolution, despite the historical context.
Shields noted that even though When Calls the Heart is set in the early 1900s, a time that often overlooked women’s roles, “it was really ahead of its time. I read the scripts, and they addressed women’s issues honestly and appropriately.”
We believe Shields can add authenticity to the story during her time on the show. While we don’t expect her to be a permanent fixture in Hope Valley, we’re happy to have her for as long as she chooses to be involved.
