On September 18, McNally took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Krakow playing their characters while walking down the street. It was captioned, “put a cork in it, Zane.”

Fans were quick to react to the photo. One fan said it was nice to see them while another one chimed in and said, “FINALLY we get a shot of [the] new power couple of Hope Valley.”

Although viewers were happy to see both characters together, the image didn’t reveal anything as to what they can expect in the upcoming season. Viewers may recall that the pair finally declared their feelings for each other at the end of season 8. As for McNally, he said he’s excited to see what’s next for the new power couple. He’s also looking forward to seeing Lucas bond with Elizabeth’s son Jack (Lincoln and Gunnar Taylor)

“I’m looking forward to the next season and working more with the Taylor twins and seeing Lucas is more of a father figure role,” he said. The actor believes that the upcoming season will explore more of that. A lot of fans complained that Lucas didn’t spend that much time with Jack in the previous season. Hopefully, the upcoming season will address this issue.

The actor would like to see his alter ego encounter some financial problems and find out what will happen when his alter ego loses everything. It’s an interesting storyline that he’d like to take on.
