In the last two seasons of WCTH, Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), have been romantically involved.

Team Nathan has been advocating for a wedding, even though some Hearties have labeled their relationship as “awkward;” however, it seems that Nathan and Elizabeth may finally get engaged in Season 12.

Four Episodes Left In Season Twelve, One Of The Stars Gave Hints

Season 12 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with just four episodes remaining that are sure to be action-packed.

Viewers are on the edge of their seats as they anticipate the revelation of the double eagle gold coin and the truth behind Ava’s (Tiera Skovbye) true identity. But amidst the suspense, there’s also room for romance to blossom.

According to Swooon, during a recent Official Hearties Aftershow, a cast member hinted at the possibility of an engagement this season, specifically between Elizabeth and Nathan.

Johannah Newmarch, who plays Molly Sullivan, added a playful twist by participating in a game of Heartship, inspired by the classic Battleship, where her choices revolve around hit, miss, or classified.

Hits And Misses

Newmarch disclosed  a miss involved Jed Campbell (Daniel Arnold) and Molly on a date, while a hit featured Edie Martell (Miranda MacDougal) collaborating with Lucas Bouchard (Chris MacNally) and Lee.

However, when Nathan proposed to Elizabeth, her response was simply, “classified,” adding, “That one’s above my pay grade.”

Additionally, the publication noted that Kevin McGarry recently hinted at potential changes in Elizabeth and Nathan’s relationship, stating, “There’s a definite decision that is made that alters the course of their future.”

Furthermore, before the season kicked off, Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter) expressed her enthusiasm for planning the wedding of the Mountie and the schoolteacher- the Jamestown set is buzzing with wedding discussions.

Some Hearties Find Elizabeth And Nathan’s Relationship “Awkward”

While a segment of Hearties eagerly anticipates the WCTH writers uniting Nathan and Elizabeth, not all fans share this enthusiasm, even those who support Nathan.

Discussions on Reddit reveal a sentiment that their on-screen chemistry feels forced, with many attributing this awkwardness to the strong friendship between Erin and Kevin. This shift in dynamic has led some Hearties to wish for a fresh face to captivate Elizabeth’s heart.

There’s a growing call for Robert Buckley to join the Hallmark series, reminiscent of his role in Chesapeake Shores. Personally, I advocate for introducing someone entirely new—why not consider Robert Buckley?

Robert Buckley Is Funny And Has Chemistry With Erin

This  is taken seriously as well—he’s not only funny and talented but also shares an incredible chemistry with Erin.

However, his time away with her seems to create a distance from his wife, Kayla, which might be affecting their performances, definitely blurring some lines and pulling them out of their roles.

Robert Buckley is  incredibly charming, his  presence in Chesapeake Shores was a fantastic addition, and fans  love everything he’s appeared in.
