Hallmark Channel When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates tease something big is coming up in season thirteen. Hope Valley might consider beginning their ring shopping, as the show is radiating strong engagement signals from Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow).
Erin Krakow Teases An Engagement Is On The Way
Since the Hallmark promo for the season hinted at “the moment you’ve been waiting for,” Hearties have been eagerly anticipating the potential engagement of the on-screen couple.
Soaps.com took the initiative to reach out to Krakow to clarify if this was indeed a hint at an engagement. “I think it does feel like an engagement hint,” she responds with a playful tone.
“I wouldn’t want to confirm anything, but you’ve seen the promos where Nathan mentions he needs to ask Elizabeth a question; so, something significant is definitely on the horizon.”
While Krakow can’t reveal any spoilers for the season, she does affirm that Nathan and Elizabeth are “at a point in their relationship where they’re ready to take the next steps.”
This Season Isn’t Short On Romance
Furthermore, she reassures fans that “this season is definitely not short on romance-Hallmark knows how to bring the romance, without a doubt.
Nathan and Elizabeth’s summer together in Cape Fullerton, while they were focused on Little Jack Thonton’s (Hyland Goodrich) diabetes, strengthened their budding family unit, but Krakow is quick to clarify that nothing inappropriate occurred.
“Well, they’re still not married, so they approached their time in Cape Fullerton with mutual respect. But I believe they truly enjoyed the chance to play house and experience family life a bit before it becomes official,” she elaborates.
“So, sharing meals under one roof, and Nathan has a list of tasks around the boarding house in Cape Fullerton; he’s making repairs, and in some ways, they are acting like a married couple.”
Nathan And Elizabeth Will Progress In Their Relationship
The dynamic unfolds as they return to Hope Valley, with Krakow mentioning that Hearties can expect to see Nathan and Elizabeth “sharing dinners at each other’s homes and involving the kids.”
Their romance seems to take center stage, and Krakow is excited about the path Nathan and Elizabeth are on- whether it leads to engagement or not. “It’s truly wonderful to witness the growth of their family,” she shares with a smile.
“It’s a very charming family unit, even if it’s not officially recognized as one, I suppose you could say.”
Season 13 of When Calls the Heart debuts on Sunday, January 4 at 8 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, and will be available for streaming the following day on Hallmark+.
