As Hearties know by now When Calls the Heart’s (WCTH) cast and crew are back on set and filming Season 12. The hit series on the Hallmark Channel was picked up for a new season back in May of this year, and actress Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) recently gave fans a status update on production. More on this story, below.
“When Calls The Heart” – Erin Krakow Updates Fans On Social Media
Erin hopped on Instagram to post a cute video. In the clip, Krakow is donning her “Elizabeth Thornton” costume with the Hope Valley set in the background while Kevin McGarry (wearing his “Nathan Grant” WCTH costume) dances a jig in what seems to be the palm of Erin’s hands while the song, “Lil Boo Thing” by Paul Russell is playing in the background.
Of course, the editing skills on the video were top-notch, and if you haven’t seen the post as of yet, head over to Krakow’s IG to check it out!
Erin writes in the caption of the video, “What a delight it’s been to be back on set (w/ Elizabeth’s lil boo thang ) for SEASON 12 of @wcth_tv!”
With that being said, Erin’s not the only one updating Hearties on WCTH, Season 12 filming![

“When Calls The Heart” – Pascale Hutton Updates Fans, Too!
Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter) also got into the action by hopping on IG and sharing some behind-the-scenes stuff.
Simply posting a photo of Hope Valley (at night), with the song, “Fly Me To The Moon” (sung by The Macarons Project), Hutton’s caption read, “Week one done.”
From the looks of it, filming is progressing nicely and likely on schedule! While Hearties likely won’t get a peak of Season 12 until 2025, thankfully the cast is nice enough to offer an insider’s look into the shenanigans that are taking place during production.
As filming continues, could they also offer some spoilers on what fans should expect? Only time will tell!
