Elizabeth remembers her own wedding day and all the excitement as Clara and Jesse get ready to marry. At the saloon, Rosemary and Lee give Clara and Jesse an early wedding gift, a trip for their honeymoon. After thanking them, Clara shares that she is nervously the paste isn’t going to show up on time. They comfy her, they know he will arrive soon.
Bill and Elizabeth walk home. He notices she is preoccupied. He knew it might bring up some memories for her. But love might be in the cards for her soon enough.
The next morning, Rosemary arrives at Elizabeth’s. She reminds her that she needs to do her last fitting today. They get to talking about Elizabeth and her flowers from Nathan and Lucas. Rosemary brings up the fact that it is all very complicated well Elizabeth says it is not they are just her friends.
Later in town, Elizabeth runs into Nathan who brings up the flowers he gave her. He isn’t afraid of any friendly competition. At school one of Elizabeth’s students, Robert, tells her how he plans to become a Monty. This sets her back a bit but they are interrupted by Pastor Zeke. They will talk later, she tells Robert.
Clara looks through a box of old pictures and becomes sad. Elizabeth is also a little sad when she tells Pastor Zeke that the schoolhouse was made by her husband.
Bill gives Clara the rest of the day off. He’s pretty sure she has plenty to do. He notices her face and asks her if she is all right. She tells him she’s just been thinking a lot about the people that won’t be at the wedding. Bill knows she’s talking about her parents. They talk for a little bit and it seems to cheer her up.
Elizabeth talks to Robert before he leaves at the end of the school day. She thinks he might want to talk to Constable Grant about becoming a Mountie. Elizabeth has there to speak to Nathan and tells him about Robert.
Pastor Zeke is going over the wedding ceremony with Claire and Jesse. Clara seems to be in a different world and has even forgotten her vows. Jesse picks up on this and asks her what’s going on. She tells him that she just has a lot to do.
Robert is with Nathan for the day overseeing his job. Nathan has reminded him several times not to get too close to the prisoner. Meanwhile, Elizabeth runs into Lucas and things are very awkward. Back at the prison, during transport, the prisoner tries to make a run for it but Nathan takes him out.
Elizabeth sees Clara is still working and asks if they can talk. She knows there’s something very wrong. Clara admits that she can’t stop thinking about her husband who has passed on. She found their old vows and she doesn’t know what she would do if something happened to Jesse. Elizabeth tells her that they will have used to come together and that she doesn’t regret ever marrying Jack even though she lost him.
The next morning, Elizabeth and baby Jack visit Clara. Elizabeth loaned her a necklace that was her grandmothers to where is something borrowed in her wedding. Clara shares that she finally found her mother’s earrings. Clara thanks Elizabeth for her kind words and support. She’s feeling better. Claire tells Elizabeth that she also needs to open herself up to love. Jack wouldn’t want her to be alone.
In town, Elizabeth runs into Lucas who is playing with baby Jack when Nathan and Robert come walking up. Robert notices Nathan’s clenched jaw. Nathan gives a curt good morning as he continues to walk. Robert catches up to Nathan and tells him that he doesn’t think he is cut out to be a Mountie. Nathan tells him that it’s not easy but he took an oath and he was scared in the beginning too. It begins to rain.
Bill alerts the girls that they are going to be a dreadful night filled with rain. They will have to move the wedding into the church. Clara is disappointed. Elizabeth sets out to fix this by calling everybody together. They decorate the inside to look much like the outside with lots of flowers and beautiful lights.
The wedding has begun. Clara comes in thrilled to see what they have done for her as Bill walks her down the aisle to Jesse. After the ceremony, they all celebrate with drinks. Elizabeth talks to Nathan, thanking him for telling Robert to spend a little bit more time being a kid. Just then Carson comes up and takes a picture of them.
After Lee and Rosemary both give their speeches, Clara and Bill dance the father-daughter dance. As they dance she thinks bill for always being somebody she can depend on. He tells her he’ll never forget this day.
It’s time to toss the bouquet. Clara asked Elizabeth to get out there. She does reluctantly. When the bouquet is thrown Elizabeth catches it like a football with a smile. Nathan and Lucas look at each other awkwardly. Clara thanks Elizabeth for everything. The happy couple leaves to go on their honeymoon.
