In tonight’s When Calls The Heart episode, Toby and Cooper are no longer under investigation. They’ve been cleared. Thanks to Christopher coming forward.

It was him that accidentally started the fire. His father helped him see it was better to come forward than to let two innocent kids take the fall and so he did.

He did the right thing. He also informed the mounties that it was his boss who gave him the order to do something so illegal. The authorities haven’t released his name so far. The most they did was tell the boys they were in the clear and allow them to stop worrying.

Their families were both so happy. They all celebrated. Minnie also realized she doesn’t need to push as much jam now that they don’t have to pay for the lawyer. She was practically killing herself to come up with the money. She agreed to this big order that she now gets to cancel.

Only her friends wouldn’t let her cancel it. They told her that women needed multiple money streams. She could keep with the jam business and that they would help her get the big order ready. They were great friends.

The whole town was there for them as well. Benson Hills couldn’t be angry at the boys. They quickly forgave them when they thought they were responsible and now they’ve been cleared. Minnie got some extra hands to help with her jam business. Rosemary nicknamed it the jamboree.

The ladies were doing that as a worried Christopher guided Nathan to the true site of the fire. Christopher wasn’t worried about Nathan. He was worried about his boss. His boss called him to see if he was feeling better.

Christopher told him that he was too sick to come in. It was his excuse not to go into work and secretly help with the investigation against his boss.

So, said boss calling him out of the blue made him worried that man was no longer buying his story. He became even more paranoid once he saw that he was listed as a witness in the newspaper stating two boys had been cleared of any wrongdoing.

He was worried about fallout. He was scared about what that man might do to keep him silent. And those fears were warranted.

Someone did try to run him and Nathan off the road. Nathan was fine. Christopher hit his head against a rock. Nathan had to carry him back into town and this was before Christopher could show him the critical location of what started the fire.

Without that evidence, Nathan couldn’t move against anyone. Christopher was currently silenced due to a head injury. There was also Rosemary sniffing around. Rosemary wanted to crack the case what did start the fire and she tried to use Elizabeth as a source.

It took Rosemary a minute to remember, but she apologized when she did recall. Elizabeth was far too principled to ever milk Nathan for gossip much less share it with Rosemary afterwards. The two made up. They then realized that they missed one batch of jam.

They forgot to add sugar which meant forty jars of jam were tart. They had to take them all down to taste test them and then reseal them to put them back on the train. It was tight. Joseph had to drive as fast as he could and he got those jams on the train.

It was a miracle. As was Christopher’s condition. Christopher soon woke up. He was mostly fine. He bruised his ribs and had a nasty concussion only he made it to the doctor. Faith took good care of him. She also helped Nathan who didn’t even realize he was injured.

He has a nasty cut to his side that scared Elizabeth when she first saw it. Nathan was going to be fine as well. He was more concerned about who ran them off the road. He was investigating and he wasn’t going to stop until he gets answers.

Nathan later spoke to Elizabeth. They both promised to look after each other’s children if something happens to the other. This arson case was shaping up to be dangerous. They both wanted that guarantee. They received it. Christopher quickly left town once he recovered.

He didn’t want to help the investigation now that he was almost killed. The mounties couldn’t even fault him for it. They couldn’t connect the Benson Hills fire to his boss or the organization behind him. The car used to run them off the road was soon found torched and abandoned.

The mounties had to find Christopher before his boss does.

Florence meanwhile had a small spat with her husband. He threw out the box full of keepsakes she kept of their relationship. He ultimately made it up to her by writing down all his favorite moments of her. Including the part where he knew he was in love.

It was so sweet that she couldn’t stay mad at him. It also served as a reminder to everyone else not to take their loved ones for granted. Faith was a great doctor and unfortunately she’s been so busy that her niece was feeling abandoned. And it showed Faith that she needed to try a little harder to be there for Lily.

And what many didn’t know was that Elizabeth convinced a shepherd to lure his sheep onto the tracks to slow down the train long enough for the jam to make it onboard – she let Nathan in on the secret.

THE END!
