“Walden arrives back in town, putting more pressure than ever on Lucas and the residents of Hope Valley. Bill comes up with a plan to stop Walden. New investors arrive from the oil company.”

In tonight’s When Calls The Heart episode, Fiona arrives back in Hope Valley. She tells Lucas that she last saw Henry at their important board meeting. He wasn’t happy as Fiona will remain in her role while Lucas remain in his for a year.

Mike tells Bill he hasn’t been sleeping. He plans to resign as mayor. Bill tries to persuade him otherwise. Meanwhile, Elizabeth speaks with Lucas by phone. They make plans for a nice dinner. He asks her if she knows where Henry is. She doesn’t. But wants to know why he is so concerned. He tells her he will come explain. Just then, a notoriously crooked businessman by the name of Walden pays him a visit. He plans to force Lucas to sell his saloon to him.

Lucas visits Elizabeth. He tells her about Walden. She thinks they need to get Bill’s help. At the salon, Rosemary tells Lee and Fiona that she plans to give Elizabeth a day of beauty for her birthday.

Nathan looks everywhere for Mei who is avoiding him. She has to leave for Chicago and she cannot tell him. Fiona makes a call to San Francisco looking for Henry. Joseph is shorthanded at the cafe. Rosemary offers Lee’s help.

Elizabeth and Lucas meet with Bill who reveals the mines may reopen because the judge who ruled out permanently closed has passed away. Walden is in town to take advantage of this. Elizabeth looks upset.

Bill and Mike stage a fight with Mike being assertive just as Walden arrives to speak with Bill about buying the saloon. Elizabeth and Rosemary discuss Lucas’ problems with Walden. Elizabeth is scared and even more so when Rosemary shares he is a suspect in a murder. Elizabeth reveals what she has heard about the coal mine.

Nathan learns from Ned that Mei is leaving back to Chicago. He tracks her down. She tells him she is being forced to appear in court after all. He offers to go with her. She cannot let him do that. She is going to deal with this. She isn’t afraid. He sees her off. Meanwhile, Joseph has discovered that Lee cosigned his bank loan for the cafe. He isn’t happy. Lee tries to explain.

Nathan arrives to see Bill and Walden at the jail. Walden reveals that he is now the owner of the saloon. Nathan is shocked but seems to be in on their play against Walden. After he leaves, Bill tells Walden he wants Lucas’ share in the oil company.

Joseph and Cooper eat dinner together and talk about church and the town. Cooper comments on what great friends they have in town who help them. This gets Joseph thinking.

Lucas sleeps over Elizabeth’s on the coach to keep her and Jack safe as Walden is in town. They sing happy birthday to Elizabeth and eat cupcakes.

Rosemary and Lee talk. They have a lot to hide when it comes to the Walden saga and the mines. Rosemary almost slips up in front of some of the townspeople. Meanwhile, some of them are disgusted that Bill brokered a deal for Walden.

Nathan and Faith meet out late as he is working and she is making house calls. They talk about Mei leaving. Faith shares something Nathan didn’t know – she was not looking to marry when she was with Carson. They head to eat ice cream together.

After Jack falls asleep, Elizabeth shares her worries about Walden with Lucas. He consoles her before bringing Jack to bed.

Walden and his man show up to give Bill the money for the saloon. Nathan comes out with his gun. Walden pulls his gun. Bill grabs it. It is the suspected murder weapon. Walden’s man takes off but Nathan manages get him.

After, Bill questions Lucas. Walden told him that Lucas is a double agent so to speak and has been working with people in Louisiana. Lucas tells him this is a lie. Elizabeth is floored by all of this.
