Hallmark Channel has shared its first teaser for season 10 of When Calls the Heart. While we don’t yet have an exact date, we do know the hit drama series will return in July 2023. What can Hearties expect from the upcoming season? Read on to find out what we know so far.
When Calls the Heart season 10 on Hallmark Channel
As fans of the series know, previous seasons of When Calls the Heart have typically premiered in February or March. Now we are well into February, this did seem unlikely. Some fans were thinking that the Erin Krakow series would air after the conclusion of season 1 of the new series, The Way Home.
However, Hallmark Channel did warn Hearties some months ago that the tenth season wouldn’t premiere until mid-2023. We now officially know that season 10 of When Calls the Heart will air at some stage in late July 2023. In fact, the network sent out a tweet on February 6 to let fans know and also to give them a teaser into the tenth season.

The one-minute teaser reveals Elizabeth (Krakow) sitting at her desk while making notes of some of the recent changes in Hope Valley. In a voice-over for the clip, she says:
Over the past few months, one thing has become clear to me. No matter the challenge, the people of Hope Valley know how to come together.
What happened at the end of season 9?
The finale of season 9 of the Hallmark series saw Henry Gowen (Martin Cummins) blow up the coal mine to stop it from reopening. Meanwhile, the foundry is closed and oil wells in the area have dried up. This series of economic blows has hit Hope Valley hard. However, the town’s locals are resilient as ever.

Among the struggles, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) insisted that her husband Lee (Kavan Smith) hire as many unemployed town folk as possible to work in his lumber business. Meanwhile, Florence (Lorretta Walsh, Minnie (Natasha Burnett) and Molly (Johanna Newmarch) have banded together. The ladies started a swap meet in order that nothing goes to waste in Hope Valley.
About the teaser for season 10 of When Calls the Heart
Fans have noted that several major characters are missing from the teaser. These include Elizabeth’s future husband, Lucas (Chris McNally) and former member of the love triangle, Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry). However, the clip does reveal hugely pregnant Rosemary, who, according to Elizabeth is just a few weeks away from giving birth to her first child with Lee. Meanwhile, the proud future parents have been trying for a baby for years until the end of season 9 when Rosemary and Lee learned she was pregnant.
While there is only speculation as to what else Hearties can expect from season 10, Hallmark did reveal that season 10 will be “the biggest season yet.” Until it does premiere in July 2023, fans can watch past episodes of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark Movies Now and Peacock.
