The writer and co-executive producer spoke about Nathan dealing with Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) moving on with Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). Nathan, Elizabeth, and Lucas seem to have mutual respect and even a friendship with each other.

“For so long, Nathan carried the weight of his guilt around Jack’s death and his heartbreak at losing Elizabeth. It’s been a delight to watch him lighten up a bit and to find true friendship with Elizabeth and even Lucas. I think a large part of that is due to the chemistry between Erin, Kevin, and Chris and their amazing performances.”

Part of who helped Nathan move on from Elizabeth was the new pharmacist in Hope Valley, Mei Sou (Amanda Wong). It seems that Nathan and Mei might develop a romance.

When Calls the Heart season 10 spoilers reveal that Nathan could go through a new love triangle. This time, it won’t be Nathan competing with another man for Mei’s heart. It sounds like Nathan might be divided between two women. It’s possible that Mei could have competition and the woman in question just might be Faith Carter (Andrea K. Brooks).

As fans recall from the season finale, Faith watched as Nathan and Mei spent time together. Faith was asked how she felt and despite her eyes showing a bit of jealousy and sadness, the character insisted she was happy.

“I think Faith is in a place where she would love to find love but she’s also grateful for the full life she has, between her medical career and her friendships in Hope Valley. Maybe she sees that as enough or maybe she’s just convincing herself of that.”

In season 9, fans watched as Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller) interrogated Elizabeth about Nathan’s future wife. Of course, Elizabeth tried to calm Allie down and persuade her to let Nathan make his own decisions. Elizabeth assured Allie that when Nathan decided to propose to someone, he would let the young lady know first.

Due to the type of personality that Allie has, we have a feeling she is going to try and take control of Nathan’s love life. However, will Allie go too far or cause complications by getting over-involved?
