When Calls the Heart: Two Character’s Fate Revealed
The popular Hallmark series is returning on Sunday, June 16 with its penultimate episode. It wouldn’t be a happy one as two characters could lose their life. Things aren’t looking good for both Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) and Rosemary Coulter (Pascale Hutton).
The upcoming episode titled “Run To You” suggests that “a notorious gangster threatens the town.” During Episode 10, Hearties found out that Casimir Shaw (Hugo Steele) was the person behind Lucas’ shooting. He was also involved in Jeanette’s (Cecilia Deacon) bid for the resort.
In the promo for the upcoming episode, Shaw returns to Heart Valley. He holds Rosemary hostage out of revenge. The town can’t rest with Shaw lurking around. He that Rosemary had been investigating Lucas’ shooting, as evidenced by her work in The Valley Voice.
He believes this is related to the resort that he plans to build in Hope Valley. Rosemary found out the truth. The promo shows her in a dangerous situation. She ends up alone in a room with Shaw. He wants to get answers about her investigation.
Rosemary isn’t the only one in danger. Elizabeth enters the room to speak with Rosemary, who yells at her to run for her life. Unfortunately, it’s not too late. Shaw closes the door and traps both women inside.
Will Elizabeth or Rosemary Die?
The promo for When Calls the Heart Season 11 suggests that either woman could die. It’s also possible that both characters could die. Producers have hinted that life could continue without some of its main characters.
Co-creator and executive producer Brian Bird said he would make the show work without Elizabeth Thatcher. In his interview, he proclaimed that “the biggest star of the show is the community.”
“Not that I would ever want to have to do that, or that any of us would ever want to have to do that,” Bird said in his February interview with Soaps. “We do think [Erin] is the absolute source of everything on When Calls the Heart and we love her. We hope we don’t wear her out and tire her of this whole thing. She could be there forever as far as I’m concerned.”
The writers killed off a main character before. Elizabeth’s husband Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing) died in a landslide in Season 5. Krakow claimed she had no plans of leaving the show.
