When Calls the Heart season 11 production resumes
When season 11 of Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart started filming before season 10 even aired, fans were thrilled. However, when the WGA writers’ and the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strikes hit, Hearties were quick to be concerned.
However, Deadline has some good news for fans after it reports that the popular Hallmark family drama is set to return to filming. After Hallmark Media was awarded an interim agreement by SAG-AFTRA, production can now go ahead.
Meanwhile, When Calls the Heart, the series that stars Erin Krakow, is one of several TV series to nab an interim agreement from the actors’ guild. This comes after similar arrangements were made for Apple’s Tehran and the faith-based series The Chosen.

Moreover, SAG-AFTRA has also granted 68 other projects interim agreements to film during the strike. These include movies like The Summer Book with Glenn Close and A24 movies, Mother Mary and I Dream of Unicorns.
While many sympathize with the actors during their strike, it has been looking like viewers would have been stuck with reruns until the strike is over. However, filming will resume ahead of the premiere date of season 10.
About When Calls the Heart
When Calls the Heart, which was inspired by Janette Oke’s books, has been a ratings hit since first premiering on Hallmark. The series tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a teacher who moves to the small coal-mining town of Hope Valley in western Canada. In season 9, fans saw Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) propose to Elizabeth. Now fans are currently waiting for season 10, which is set to premiere on July 30.

Other stars in the series include Jack Wagner, Kavan Smith, Pascale Hutton, Kevin McGarry, Martin Cummins, Andrea Brooks and Loretta Walsh.
