When Calls the Heart is currently in the midst of producing its thirteenth season; all this time, actress Erin Krakow has been keeping fans updated on what they can look forward to.
Recently, she gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming episodes. She has a little surprise in store for fans ahead of the new season, which is anticipated to premiere in the coming months.
Fans have been following Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thatcher on WCTH since the show first aired in 2014; initially introduced as a young teacher, Thatcher arrives in Coal Valley on assignment.
She learns to navigate life on the Canadian frontier, experiencing both love and heartache; the series just concluded its twelfth season on March 23, 2025 and is filming the thirteenth season.

Actually, Krakow gave fans a preview of what to expect in the new season. The actress posted a screenshot of a scene where she and Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant), both portraying Elizabeth and Nathan, were smiling at the camera.
The bottom of the screenshot stated, “Proprietary and Confidential Hallmark Media.” In her caption, Krakow said, “Tag someone who makes you smile like thiiiiis;” McGarry commented, “CONFIDENTIAL!” to which Krakow replied, “Some things are just meant to be shared.” The official When Calls the Heart Instagram account also reacted with a shocked emoji to McGarry’s comment and included several clapping hands emojis in their main comment.
Krakow Is Very Fan Friendly On Social Media And In Person

Fans are aware that Krakow enjoys spending her time on set with them; as mentioned earlier, she hinted at a video featuring some of her co-stars walking together.
This included McGarry, Jaeda Lily Miller (Allie Grant), and Hyland Goodrich (Little Jack Thornton). All three were spotted in Hope Valley after their trip to Cape Fullerton towards the end of Season 12.
Fans will remember at the end of the previous season, Little Jack had been diagnosed with diabetes type one, which at that time no children had ever been given insulin.
He was put in what now would be called a medical trial for testing insulin on children, insulin itself being in its infancy as a treatment.
