Season 8 Premiere Date

Although an official premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, we do have a clue. The Hallmark Channel confirmed WCTH Christmas movie is on the schedule for 2020. In the past, the film has aired on Christmas Day and the new season premiering at the beginning of the new year. It sounds like they might be on schedule for that tradition to continue.

Hallmark Channel News – WCTH Season 8 Storylines

No solid information has been released regarding season 8 storylines. However, Parade noted that Lee Coulter (Kevan Smith) and Rosemary Coulter (Pascale Hutton) want to start a family, but will face challenges. Meanwhile, there is the love triangle involving Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), and Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally). There is also the question of Fiona Miller (Kayla Wallace) and her new career path.

Spin-Off, Netflix, and Production Details

For those that aren’t aware, there is a When Calls the Heart spin-off called When Hope Calls. Also, WCTH has some seasons available on Netflix. So, if you are new to the series, are a bit behind, or just want to rewatch old episodes, then you can see them on the streaming service.

As for production details, the cast and crew are working hard to make sure everyone stays safe. There are strict safety protocols in place. Krakow previously stated that she appreciated all the safety measures that are being put in place and she felt completely safe going back to work. Jack Wagner, who plays Bill Avery, also went to Instagram to talk about how grateful he was to go back to work.
