So, he’s not technically at fault, but Elizabeth can’t help but resent him right now.

The big question that viewers have is if Elizabeth will choose Lucas because of Nathan’s secret. That really isn’t known for sure right now. However, McGarry spoke to TV Insider and explained that the secret coming out is huge and it’s about whether Elizabeth is able to forgive him. It should also be noted what Lucas said to Elizabeth on Sunday’s episode. He is perfectly okay with her being friends with Nathan. However, Lucas said that he doesn’t think Nathan will accept “just friendship.”

When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal that Nathan could have just sent Elizabeth straight into the arms of his competition. It’s true that Elizabeth and Lucas have been getting closer. “… one of the recurring themes so far this season has been that Lucas is usually trying to move things forward… so I think it’s a win for Lucas that she offers that [holding his hand].”

So, we will have to keep watching to find out what the future holds for Elizabeth’s love triangle with Nathan and Lucas.
