Expect to find out if Elizabeth chooses Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) or Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) toward the end of the season. Even though this might be frustrating to fans, Krakow told Entertainment Tonight that she’s really proud of how they’ve done this story.

It’s also important that Elizabeth not just make a decision and hope for the best. She needs to pick the right man for her and Jack Thornton (Lincoln and Gunnar Taylor). McGarry explained that in this story and the slow-burn of the storyline, Elizabeth is really staying true to her heart.

“This season has much higher stakes. It’s a roller coaster of a season… Kevin and Erin and I didn’t know what the final result would be as we were working on it. It just keeps evolving and becoming more and more intense. And at one point you think it’s going one way, and then it changes and goes the other way, and then it looks like it’s gonna swing back. I hope that they’re as on edge as we were while we were reading the scripts.”

Realization And Really Taking The Reins
