Speaking to TV Insider in a Zoom interview, Krakow explains that the time jump is probably just a few months. However, in that amount of time, she hasn’t spent a lot of time with either Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) or Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry).

As fans may have already heard, Elizabeth will finally choose between Nathan and Lucas. However, it won’t happen early in the season. It will take her most of the season to make up her mind and when she finally chooses, it will be toward the season finale. Even though Krakow understands viewers getting frustrated with the wait, she has stated in other interviews that she is really proud of the work she’s done with this storyline. In this interview, she said that she knows love triangles can get very tiresome, but also finds the dynamics very interesting.
