Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveals that there will be a new family that we will meet when new episodes return. The family is the Canfields and some information about the characters has been released. Meet The Canfield Parents

According to Entertainment Weekly, Joseph Canfield will come to Hope Valley and try to buy the gas station. The part will be played by Viv Leacock, which viewers may recognize from the series, Hailey Dean Mysteries. Joseph is married to a woman named Minnie Canfield (Natasha Burnett). She is described as an extremely protective mother to the couple’s two children.

WCTH Season 8 Spoilers: Leacock Children

Joseph and Minnie’s son and daughter are played by Leacock’s children in real life. Angela Canfield (Vienna Leacock) is 12 years old and visually impaired but has the gift of playing the piano. She was homeschooled, but when they come to Hope Valley, she begins attending classes taught by Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow). However, Minnie’s protective nature has her not exactly trusting Elizabeth with Angela’s education.

When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal that Joseph and Angela have a 9-year-old son named Cooper Canfield (Elias Leacock). It is teased that the little boy will go on some sort of adventure with Elizabeth and Jesse Flynn (Aren Buchholz).

When Calls the Heart Season 8 Spoilers: Back to Work

After COVID-19 shut down productions across the globe, WCTH got back to work in July. They are following strict guidelines to keep everyone safe. This includes the cast and crew operating in “pods,” everyone wearing masks and of course, each person must go into quarantine for 14 days once they cross the border into Canada. Previously, Krakow had this to say about production restarting,

“I’ve missed Vancouver. I’ve missed Hope Valley. I’ve missed waking up every morning to do what I love. But most of all, I’ve missed some of my favorite people — our cast and crew.”
