When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal that Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) secret is out. He was the one who was supposed to die at Fort Clay, not Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing). Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) is distraught about it but he’s not giving up. Even when Rosemary Coulter (Pascale Hutton) confronts Nathan, he refuses to let Elizabeth go.
When Calls The Heart Season 8 – About Jack Thornton’s Death
WCTH season 8 spoilers reveal that fans speculated that Nathan was keeping a secret about Jack. Elizabeth asked him before if he knew Jack since he was also at Fort Clay. However, he denied knowing her widow and rode off on his horse before she could ask any more questions. She finally confronted him and demanded to know what he was hiding. On Sunday’s episode, we finally got the answer.
Even though Nathan didn’t kill Jack, Elizabeth would still have her husband if Nathan hadn’t been disciplined that day. It was supposed to be him leading the training, not Jack.
WCTH Spoilers – Distraught Widow
Elizabeth will continue to have a hard time grappling with what she has learned. Jack should have told her this from the very beginning. She had a right to know. Nathan probably feels guilty about Jack dying instead of him. Elizabeth probably also blames him a bit. She knows that he wasn’t directly responsible for Jack’s death, but she would give anything to have him back. Knowing that someone else was supposed to be in his position that day makes it really hard for Elizabeth to look at Nathan the same. At least, for the time being.
When Calls The Heart Season 8 – Rosemary Coulter’s Confrontation
When Calls the Heart season 8 spoilers reveal a new promo has been uploaded to YouTube. In that video, everyone is playing a pre-wedding game. A woman is blindfolded and she must be able to locate her true love simply by holding his hands. Elizabeth’s name is called and it doesn’t look like she wants to play.
Later, Rosemary confronts Nathan. Based on his response, it sounds like Rosemary asks him why he keeps pursuing Elizabeth in light of the recent confession.

When Calls The Heart Season 8 Spoilers – Nathan Grant Won’t Let Go
Nathan tells Rosemary that he cannot let Elizabeth go. It’s clear that he has feelings for her but will she really be able to look past this? Can she really see Nathan as a potential husband instead of the man who was supposed to die instead of Jack?
It seems that Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) was right. He’s okay with her being friends with Nathan. However, Lucas warned that Nathan might not accept being “just friends” with Elizabeth. What do you think is going to happen as the season comes to a close? How will Elizabeth react to Nathan refusing to let her go?

I love this show! So many talented actors. I loved the Elizabeth/Jack love story & was devastated for Elizabeth when Jack died. Many hearties are having a tough time picturing Elizabeth with a new love, but after watching the progression over the last few seasons with her two potential suitors I believe that Nathan holds Elizabeth’s true heart but she just doesn’t want to admit it to herself….yet. Elizabeth is understandably guarding her heart after losing Jack & pushing Nathan away is her coping mechanism so she doesn’t have to confront her true feelings for him. Nathan is harboring the guilt of knowing that it should have been him in place of Jack on that fateful mission & the pain it has caused Elizabeth. Both men are great in heir own ways & would offer Elizabeth & little Jack a very different lifestyle – Lucas more the lifestyle Elizabeth was accustomed to in Hamilton, Nathan the simplistic lifestyle she fell in love with when arriving in Hope Valley. Nathan would also make a wonderful father figure to little Jack as we’ve seen with their interactions &, likewise, Elizabeth a wonderful mother figure to Allie. Nathan & Elizabeth are much like magnets – although neither wanted to fall for the other (for equally devastating reasons), they can’t help being drawn to each other. Nathan gifted Elizabeth a plaque he made reading “Always do what you are afraid to do.” I believe Elizabeth will do just that – overcome her fears & give her heart to the man who holds it – Nathan.
