When Calls the Heart season 9 spoilers reveal who will not be back in season 9. Say goodbye to Jesse Flynn (Aren Buchholz), Clara Stanton Flynn (Eva Bourne), and Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene). Little Jack Thornton, Jr. was played by Gunner and Lincoln Taylor. However, Elizabeth’s young son will now be portrayed by Hyland Goodrich.

As for the newcomers, fans will meet Arthur Gilchrist (Matthew James Dowden), Geoffrey Lewis (Chris Cope), and Mei Sou (Amanda Wong). It is teased that Mei is Nathan’s new love interest. Not much is known about the character, so fans will be looking forward to meeting the new character.

Season 9 will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, March 6. As for what to expect in the premiere episode, it is titled “In Like a Lion.” The description for the upcoming season is as follows:
“Change is in the air for Hope Valley with the foundry that’s to be built and the upcoming mayoral election. Elizabeth arrives home from a trip to Hamilton. A potential investor arrives in town to discuss the oil business with Lucas.”

I am glad Nathan will get a new love interest, but why can't it be Fiona? Why do they have to bring in a new character at all? Also, will Bill and Florence get together, or will he remain as clueless as ever? Oh, my goodness! This is a historical series, but it sure sounds like a soap opera to me. I somehow expect to see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden of Young and the Restless) come into the series as Lucas's father. I guess we will find out.
Whoever writes this is clearly a Nathan fan and wanted Elizabeth to choose Nathan. Please, move on. Stop writing things like "Elizabeth didn't choose Nathan as many hoped." That has been written, or something like it, many times on this site. I have never seen it written that "Elizabeth chose Lucas, as many hoped." A vocal minority keeps stirring dissent and it needs to stop. Many, many fans are thrilled about Lucas and Elizabeth and their beautiful love story. Nathan will be getting his, too.
