When Calls The Heart Season 9 – WCTH Season 9 Spoilers: Filming Kick-Off Date

At the time of the podcast with Dr. Steve Greene, which aired on June 14, Bird said that filming for season 9 will start in six weeks. He also added that there is about a month of prep work that has to be done prior to production kicking off. So, that puts the date of filming beginning around July 19.

As for how long the shooting will take place, there are just too many factors involved to make a prediction. However, the show shot for 78 days for season 8 and unlike many other shows, WCTH didn’t have a single case of COVID-19 among the cast or crew. He did mention that there will still be a lot of safety measures due to COVID-19, but it will not be as heavy-handed as the previous season.

When Calls the Heart season 9 spoilers reveal that last season, we didn’t get to see too much of little Jack. This was due to COVID-19 spreading like wildfire and at the time, a vaccine wasn’t available. The elderly, young children, and those with compromised immune systems were considered high-risk. So, there were limited scenes with the Taylor twins for their protection.

“The COVID restrictions really limited our use of the Taylor twins… But there were some things like that that escaped my attention… Chris McNally and Erin Krakow brought it to my attention, for instance… They helped me realize Lucas has never been in Elizabeth’s house. Perhaps appropriately. But yes, in short, it did limit us.”

When Calls The Heart Season 9 Spoilers – Will Little Jack Thornton Appear?

There is no word on how much little Jack will be on-screen in season 9. However, due to the actors bringing certain things to Bird’s attention and the easing safety measures, we expect that the child will be used in scenes more than in season 8.
