Fans can also expect to see the children of the show again. Last season that just wasn’t possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only will we see how Lucas interacts with Elizabeth’s son, but there will be an older Jack Thornton, Jr. aka “Little Jack.” The role was previously played by Gunnar and Lincoln Taylor. When season 9 kicks off, fans will see Hyland Goodrich playing Little Jack.

“I think one of the things that’s really interesting about this coming season is really the advent of industrialization. That’s really interesting because that really would have happened in 1919… I was really excited about that, about the fact that the world was sort of coming into Hope Valley through industrialization and how are they going to cope with it.”

Krakow shared on social media a teaser clip on Twitter around Christmas time. The actress appeared in the clip and wished fans a merry Christmas. Then, she teased that the upcoming season will feature friendship, romance, and heart. In one scene, Elizabeth is shocked as she spins around and all her students yell out “surprise!” It also appears as if there will be a big feast with several characters sitting around a large dining room table.

Even though no premiere date has been announced by the Hallmark Channel yet, it is expected to come back in February 2022.
