When Calls The Heart Spoilers: Chris McNally Heads To Riverdale, What We Know About Mystery Role

When Calls the Heart spoilers reveal that actor Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard) is headed to another television series. He has been cast in Riverdale in a mystery role. McNally is not the only WCTH cast member that went from the Hallmark Channel to The CW series. Martin Cummins plays Henry Gowen in WCTH and Tom Keller in Riverdale.

From Hope Valley To Riverdale

Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently posted some photos to his Instagram account. Production just wrapped up for Riverdale and one of the images is a shot of the TV show’s featured ensemble. It also gives fans the first glance at McNally’s secret character. The creator wrote in the caption,

“Aaaand that’s a wrap on Season Five of #Riverdale. So grateful to everyone who worked on this crazy show this crazy year, under crazier-than-usual circumstances. All the writers and directors and editors. And especially our tireless, amazing all-star cast and our beyond heroic crew, who somehow kept the ship on course. About Chris McNally’s New Mystery Role

Riverdale spoilers confirm that McNally’s character details are being kept under wraps. They haven’t released the character name, anything about his part in the storyline, and we don’t even have an appearance date. We just know that McNally will appear sometime in the back half of season 5.

Some hints are available when you look at the creator’s photo on Instagram, though. According to Fansided, the last half of season 5 will bring back Josie and the Pussycats. The group is posing in front of a pretty fancy and decked-out tour bus. McNally is posing with them, so it is speculated that he might be playing the band’s new manager. If not the band manager, then he will be tied to Josie and the Pussycats somehow.

WCTH Spoilers – Lucas Bouchard’s Future

Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) chose Lucas at the end of season 8. This means that Lucas isn’t going anywhere, so don’t worry about the actor’s future on the Hallmark TV show. In fact, when the cast was still filming season 8, it was confirmed that both Lucas and Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) would stay on WCTH. Spoilers confirm that Elizabeth’s choice would not mean the exit of the rejected suitor.

During the season 8 finale, it was confirmed that the Hallmark Channel renewed the series. As for what to expect in season 9, Krakow hopes that Lucas and Elizabeth won’t get married right away.
