What Exactly Has Fans So Upset?

Fans are extremely upset with the network due to a scheduling issue; what caused this frustration among the Hearties-a mistake disrupted their Season 12 experience, and here’s what happened.

On Monday, angry Hearties took to social media to express their concerns about a significant scheduling error with When Calls The Heart-one fan shared, “I’m so confused…T1D storyline.”

They went on to explain, “Last week, I watched the episode Buried Treasure, featuring the Garrison gang and Angela Canfield (Vienna Leacock)  at the school for the blind.

I just started watching last night’s episode, and it began with ‘previously’ scenes from an episode I haven’t seen, where Little Jack Thornton (Hyland Goodrich)  gets sick and is diagnosed with diabetes. I did some research and found articles mentioning that the diagnosis episode is called Through The Valley; however, I can’t find it on the episode list when I search online.

Did Fans Miss An Episode?

I don’t want to watch last night’s episode (Having Faith) until I see the missed one-is it just me, or was Through The Valley not aired?” They also included a screenshot of the latest episodes from WCTH Season 12-however, there is a problem with the episode order.

Episode 10, titled “Through The Valley,” is missing from the list-this is because it was mistakenly labeled as Episode 12 on sites like IMDb until recently.

One viewer expressed confusion, saying, “I thought last night was the finale; is this false hope or is it real?” The original poster later clarified, “I need to correct myself; the last episode my DVR recorded was Buried Treasure, which might have aired the week before last, not last week.

There Was A Mistake Made

The fan continued,  I’m not sure if my DVR failed to record Through The Valley, but I did find it available to watch on demand.” This Heartie was able to watch the episodes in the correct order; however, they noted, “I find it strange that the episode list I shared doesn’t include Through The Valley.” Fortunately, this Heartie discovered a solution, but there was a mix-up-here’s what likely occurred: IMDb initially had the episodes listed in the wrong order.

Episode 10 was “Through The Valley,” Episode 11 was “Having Faith,” and Episode 12 was “Must Be Gold.” Somehow, Episode 10 was mistakenly labeled as Episode 12, and Episode 12 was labeled as Episode 11, creating a confusing situation, and  content creators were using this incorrect information as a reference.

The IMDB Errors Now Have Been Corrected But It’s Not The First Time Fans Were Confused

Hallmark Media committed to fixing these problems, and they followed through; IMDb has been updated, but not all websites have made the necessary corrections. Additionally, it seems that DVR schedules, which may have depended on IMDb data, were not updated.

As a result, fans missed the episode “Through The Valley,” where Little Jack’s diabetes is first revealed. Earlier this season, Hallmark also made a significant schedule change for When Calls The Heart in early February.

Instead of airing “When Autumn Leaves Begin To Fall” on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, it was shown the night before at 10 p.m. Eastern, following the movie The Wish List.

This episode of When Calls The Heart was significant because it marked Melissa Gilbert’s debut as Georgie McGill, leading to some confusion that night. However, Hallmark airs the previous week’s episode every Sunday morning, and fans were able to watch this episode on February 16.
