We are all aware of how perilous and life-threatening these situations can be, even in the present day.

At this point, it’s important to clarify that there is currently no concrete evidence suggesting that Smith is departing from When Calls the Heart.

The real question is whether he can escape this predicament, and if this setback, if that is indeed all it is, will compel him to take a break.

We believe that Rosemary, Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), and others will advocate for that to occur, and perhaps be a little pushy about it themselves for his own good.

One thing we can say with certainty is that we should receive some clarity on this matter by the end of the episode. The writers are unlikely to leave us in suspense for long.
