It’s Almost Time To Head Back To Hope Valley

It’s nearly time to head back to Hope Valley-on Friday, the network released a trailer for Season 13 of the beloved series. It’s  set to premiere on Sunday, January 4, at 8/7c on the network (and available for streaming the next day on Hallmark+).

The clip provides a glimpse of Melissa Gilbert’s return as Georgie McGill and her heartfelt reunion with Bill Avery (Jack Wagner).

Also making an appearance is Brooke Shields as Charlotte Thornton, Elizabeth Thornton’s (Erin Krakow)  former mother-in-law.

As the voiceover proclaims “the moment you’ve been waiting for,” Charlotte embraces Elizabeth’s current partner, Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), and cautions him, “Don’t mess this up.”

Mostly Romance And Happy Times Are Previewed, But There Is Also Danger On The Horizon

While the teaser mentioned above is predominantly filled with themes of romance and positive energy, there is also a sense of foreboding looming in the distance. “An event occurs at the start of Season 13 that essentially disrupts Hope Valley and its neighboring regions, initiating a journey for each character that will unfold throughout the entire season.”

Kevin McGarry shared this during a Hallmark Christmas Cruise panel earlier this month, as reported by People. This aligns perfectly with the “life-altering” event that actor Jack Wagner hinted at to TV Insider during the summer.

Wagner Hinted At Catastrophic Fires In Hope Valley And The Surrounding Areas

“It brings to mind the recent events that have unfolded in L.A.,” Wagner remarked. “This is going to be the significant disaster and challenge that our community in Hope Valley will confront this year, and it’s going to unfold quite rapidly. I believe it’s been some time since we’ve experienced a situation where the entire community was under threat.

But it appears that this is the narrative we will be sharing and the hurdle we will need to overcome this year.” Viewers will recall the devastating series of fires that caused many to lose their homes, including Cameron Mathison, who played in many Hallmark movies.

Nathan, Elizabeth, Allie And Little Jack Return, Plus In Season 14, Abigail Stanton Returns

In the upcoming season, Nathan and Elizabeth will return to Hope Valley after departing in the Season 12 finale to seek better treatment for Little Jack Thornton’s (Hyland Goodrich) diabetes.

Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller) also went along. “They come back in the first episode,” Wagner disclosed, “and it focuses on their return and the new dynamics of life for Little Jack.

He is now dependent on insulin, and how this will impact the town plays out-what steps will we take to improve the medical facilities, and so on?” Looking ahead, the show has already been confirmed for a Season 14, with former cast member Lori Loughlin set to return as Abigail Stanton.
