When Calls The Heart – Star Chris McNally Courting Elizabeth Thorton
Season 9 fans know from spoilers and teasers, that as Lucus, Chris courts Elizabeth Thorton (Erin Krakow), very seriously. In fact, fans know that he bonds with Jack Jnr. Plus, the couple takes a romantic ride in a hot air balloon. In the Hallmark show, Chris acts as the owner of the saloon. However, in two new recurring roles, he acts in both of them as a teacher. One of those roles sounds a lot more sinister than the man that WCTH fans hope will finally steal Elizabeth’s heart.
When Calls The Heart fans know that Nathan Grant, (Kevin McGarry), also showed a romantic interest in Elizabeth. Well, in Season 8, he knew that Lucas and Elizabeth got down to some rather heavy PDA. If you worry that he no longer has a story to tell, news came that he finds someone else to love with. But, other cast members don’t feature in the new season.
These include Jesse Flynn (Aren Buchholz), Clara Stanton Flynn (Eva Bourne), and Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene). Unfortunately, actors never really know when they might need to find a new role somewhere else.

Deadline reported that Chris McNally will act as Mr. Daniels in Rise of the Pink Ladies. He’s a young teacher and folks take to him. However, he’s not as nice as he seems. The prequel to Grease‘s storyline reveals that Daniels tried for a bit of PDA with a student and then “threw her under a bus.” It all goes down as a group of rebels attending school in the 1950s cause a lot of mayhem at Rydell High.
On Paramount+, fans will also see the When Calls The Heart star act alongside Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke in Season 2 of Firefly Lane. They will “reprise their roles as lifelong best friends Tully and Kate.” The outlet noted that “McNally will play Mr. Waverly, a charismatic new English teacher who pushes Kate and Tully out of their comfort zones and inspires them to reach for new heights.”

When Calls The Heart Season 9 got fans excited all, over again. However, it’s way too soon to know if fans can expect a 10th season of the show. In fact, Hearties can’t imagine life without the wholesome story of Hope Valley. But, for now, at least, it looks like Chris McNally won’t be short of the price of a sandwich if the show comes to an end.
