When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow wishes for ‘speediest recovery’ for Mamie Laverock
In an interview alongside Kevin McGarry with Page Six on Tuesday, Krakow, 39, was asked about her thoughts on Mamie Laverock’s near-fatal fall and responded by saying:
Thank you so much for asking; we’ve been in touch and we are wishing her all the best.
“She’s such a great girl and I hope it’s just the speediest recovery,” she added, revealing her support for 19-year-old Laverock. “But we’re going to offer her family some privacy.”
Moreover, Krakow, who plays the lead role of Elizabeth Thornton in the popular Hallmark series, said that the outpouring of love from Hearties had been overwhelming for the When Calls the Heart cast. She added that this response was “amazing” going on to address WCTH fans directly, saying, “It really is, thank you.”
Mamie Laverock’s accident
Recently, it was reported that Mamie was on life support after accidentally falling from a five-story balcony at a Vancouver hospital. Reportedly, she was recovering there from an undisclosed “medical emergency.”
Meanwhile, Laverock’s mother, Nicole Rockmann, last week revealed that the family is planning legal action against St. Paul’s Hospital over the tragic incident.
While sharing updates on a GoFundMe for Mamie’s medical costs, her family wrote that her body was “shattered” in the fall.
In one post, her family wrote, “She has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three-hour surgery and another surgery.”
Her family also noted on the GoFundMe page that Mamie “is enduring tremendous pain.” However, the family also said that she is “doing well,” and “showing signs of improvement.”
Mamie Laverock played Rosalyn Sullivan on When Calls the Heart in season 1 and season 2. Moreover, she reprised her role as a nursing student in season 10 in 2023.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Hallmark Media recently said that the feel-good network was “deeply saddened” by Mamie’s accident. They wrote:
As a beloved member of our ‘When Calls the Heart’ community, we wish her and her family peace, comfort, and many prayers during this difficult time.
