When Calls The Heart News – Week One Filmed, Two More To Go
Jessica Lowndes recently took to Instagram to share exciting news about her role in a new holiday film alongside WCTH star Daniel Lissing.
She announced, “Week 1 of filming is complete! Just two more weeks to go” and accompanying her post was a delightful array of movie stills, featuring Jessica prominently.
Daniel appeared in more than half of them, and while most images didn’t reveal much about the plot, one intriguing shot showed Daniel sporting a construction safety helmet.
Could he be portraying an architect or engineer inspecting a construction site? That’s quite possible, as our research found a movie in the works called Renovation Romance.

Fortunately, Jessica shared another post filled with additional photos that provided more insight into this story-she began by introducing her new character, Chelsea, with the words, “Meet my new character Chelsea!” Following that, she expressed her gratitude for being back on set and mentioned, “My dear friend of 9 years is playing my best friend in the movie.”
She further noted, “Her husband is directing, and we’ve been hoping to work together for years!” meaning actress Farrah Aviva, a close friend, is playing Chelsea’s best friend in the film.
We know this because Farrah has been married to Robin Dunne for eight years-Jessica didn’t mention Lissing, but she did tag both Dunne and Farrah in her social media post.

When Calls The Heart News – Christmas Movie With Lissing Coming?
Jessica Lowndes hasn’t officially announced her collaboration on a Christmas film with WCTH star Daniel Lissing, but several photos suggest otherwise.
In one striking image, Jessica sports a bright red wool coat, surrounded by artificial snow and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the background. While the film’s title remains undisclosed, it appears to be tentatively named and is currently being filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This speculation is supported by the industry site ACTRA Manitoba, which lists Robin Dunne as the director of a project with Renovation Romance as the title. Additionally, Daniel’s safety helmet in one of the images adds to the intrigue.
WCTH News Where Will Renovation Romance Air?
There’s currently no word on which network will host the new film featuring Jessica Lowndes and Daniel Lissing. However, Jessica inked a deal with Great American Family a few years back, making it likely that this movie will premiere there.
Additionally, it appears that Daniel Lissing might star in two holiday films in 2024; he wrapped up filming one earlier this year, which was another reunion project for him.
Fans of Hearties were thrilled when Hallmark revealed that WCTH stars Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing would reunite for the Countdown To Christmas film titled Santa Tell Me.
This film will be included in Hallmark’s festive Countdown To Christmas lineup; stay tuned for more details on Renovation Romance, which should be released in the coming weeks.
