In tonight’s When Call The Heart episode, there was a National Park opening in two days only nothing was ready! Lee was freaking out. Rosemary was calm. She was being a little too calm for her husband’s taste. Rosemary just had a feeling that everything would work out and Lee didn’t think it would.

He might’ve been right when they got the bad news about the insulin. Hope Valley was set to have its own insulin clinic. It would allow Little Jack to move back home. He’d be able to get treatment there rather than having to stay at his grandmother’s in the city. It would’ve give their little family the chance to move back and unfortunately that got put on hold because their clinic was going without this one thing – an inspection.

There was just the one inspector. He couldn’t come out in time for school to begin. It was summer for them and a railroad strike might mean he can’t come to the valley until the spring. There was enough insulin at the clinic for the weekend. They can come back for a visit.

They just couldn’t move back permanently right now. Or so they thought. The world has a way of working itself out. Goldie’s National Park was opening. They got to attend and see their friends again. Allie even got to check out Oliver’s new moustache.

It matches one her father grew over the summer as well. Nathan didn’t mind. He firmly believed that great minds think alike and he wasn’t just talking about the moustache. Oliver was a good kid. He saw that. He also noticed the extra attention to his daughter and she could do worse.

Nathan wasn’t back for long when he put the new stoplights to work. Henry’s son Christopher put it in. He was shaping to be a good man just like his father and he was kind to Little Jack when he saw him. He let Little Jack officially turn it on. The Governor missed that and that could explain why he ran the light.

Nathan had to write him a ticket. Which he really enjoyed. The Governor was so busy checking out Edie that he forgot to serve as an example. He happily accepted the ticket. He knew he could get it stricken from the record as Governor. Elizabeth in the meantime asked Minnie to cover her classes for her.

She’s never not be there for the fall semester and so she didn’t get a backup plan more firmly in place until she heard about the insulin. It was hard for her to be away from her students. The same away it was hard on the children being away from their friends.

Nathan also had a hard time being away from his horse. No true Mountie can ignore their horse or signs of trouble. The town was still dealing with McGinty. McGinty was a shady rancher who tried to stop the National Park just so that he could fleece his fellow ranchers.

The mounties thought they handled him when they pushed ahead with the park and they stopped him harassing others. Bill however was older. He’s been around long enough to know that a wounded old lion can sometimes be just as dangerous as before.

Bill was keeping an eye out on McGinty. Oliver in turn got rid of the moustache. Just because it received compliments didn’t mean he wanted to look like his crush’s father. He quickly got rid of it. He then helped Allie with her kids’ guide to the park. She already wrote the foreword.

The rest they worked on together. Allie’s foreword was so good that Elizabeth couldn’t bear to tear her away from her friends. It was Allie’s final year. She should be allowed to stay with her friends and Elizabeth told Nathan as much.

Nathan has never seen her so resigned. It moved him to take action. He remembered a lodger they met over the summer. He claimed that his nephew flew on planes and so he contacted him. The man wasn’t making up stories. His nephew really was a pilot with his own plane.

He also believed in a good cause. He flew the inspector out to Hope Valley. The Department of Health later signed off the first insulin clinic in the territories. Meaning Elizabeth gets to stay home with her son. Nathan managed to find a way to keep their little family together in town.

Now, he just needed to propose.

Nathan shaved off his moustache too. He thought a constable should be without it. He was back to his Mountie ways and Elizabeth was back to teaching. Minnie was glad that everything was back in it’s right place. Though the possibility had opened a door in her mind.

She wasn’t sure what was behind the door. She just knew that she liked considering her possibilities. The town opened the park. They were enjoying themselves. They were all happy when suddenly they noticed smoke from the park.

There was a fire and it was quickly spreading.

THE END!
