In tonight’s When Calls The Heart episode, Lee Coulter has been busy. He created a presentation for the rebuilt of Benson Hills. It was more than a mere rebuilt. It was also the push he needed to launch Coulter Construction. He was busy bee to get everything right that he wasn’t sleeping much.

His wife noticed. Rosemary told him to take it easy, but he wanted to wait to rest until they got contract before he slowed down. Lee lost out in the fire too. He lost the National Park. He lost his wife’s playhouse. He wanted to be a part of the rebuild because he wanted to give himself a second chance.

A chance to do everything right. He needed to make sure it was safe. They were still investigating the fire. Nathan, Bill, and Oliver went out to the park. They checked the origin area. They found the campfire right smack in the middle of the origin site.

It wasn’t looking good for the boys. The boys seemed to sense that somehow. They’ve been showing up late to school. They’ve been missing schoolwork. Elizabeth was beginning to worry about them when she saw them sneak off and she followed them.

The boys have been replanting trees in the park. They went in the moment the judge cleared the area. They wanted to fix what they still felt they broke. They were good boys and so Elizabeth offered to help them plant new trees. She felt proud of them. The kids were growing up.

They were doing it a little too fast. Elizabeth’s own son Little Jack now wanted to be known as “LJ”. He thought he was too big to be called little anymore. Elizabeth was still wrapping her head around it when she helped out Allie.

Allie and Oliver were becoming great friends. They were a little too close for comfort for her father’s sake, but Elizabeth was more understanding. Allie had been studying up on dinosaurs. Oliver was obsessed with them. He found a fossilized tooth up where the in origin area.

He tried to show Nathan. Nathan was impressed. He then showed Allie and Allie was happy to see him so excited about things. Oliver had been taking the time to read her favorite books now that his reading was getting better. And she wanted to show she was doing research on his interests too.

Nathan had sorta put the fear of God into Oliver. He went on a whole thing about safety and responsibility. It was about the horse’s saddle. Only Oliver got the gist that it was about so much more. He knew Nathan was worried about Allie. Its why when they fossil hunting that he asked Bill to come along.

Bill loves fossils. He didn’t even realize that he was acting as a chaperone. Nathan didn’t know Bill went on the trip. He snapped at Allie for being out late with a boy and that’s when she dropped the fact that Bill was there.

Nathan felt so bad about yelling at her. She stormed off to her room and wouldn’t speak to him. He also felt bad about yelling at Oliver. They were good kids who wouldn’t get up to trouble. He knew that deep down. It was just hard when Allie was his daughter.

He worries about her. He worries about the conversations they have to have and so he stopped by Elizabeth’s. He commiserated with her. He revealed that he started calling Little Jack “LJ” during baseball. LJ must have gotten the idea from him. Elizabeth didn’t mind.

She was glad that her son looked up to Nathan. Allie also looked up to Elizabeth. Nathan realized it and he later apologized to his daughter. He tried to talk to her about love. She nixed that conversation because no one was mentioning love.

Yes, the world is big and she can’t wait to see it but she’ll always return home. Nathan finally realized that as well. He calmed down. Elizabeth in the meantime turned the replanting the forest into a school project. The kids loved getting their hands dirty.

They ran into Henry Gowan with his son. They were looking for birds. Henry thought it was commendable that the two boys that might be responsible for the fire was helping to rebuild it.

Henry said that part out loud. He never looked at his son’s face when he said it or would guess that expression meant his son was hiding something from him. No one else noticed it either. They were all too busy replanting trees for future generations. Gwen was so happy that she brought along the Coulters.

Lee needed to rest. He had a panic attack. Those weren’t the names for it back then, but he was warned to take it easy and doing relaxing things. Nothing made him more relaxed than planting trees. Lee got the contract to rebuild Benson Hills. He was moving into construction.

He even turned the replanting trees into a community project with the adults getting involved. The one person that didn’t get involved was Henry’s son. He cut their plans short and got out of town as quickly as possible.

And Henry suspected his son was keeping a secret.

THE END!
