Everyone knows it’s not really Christmas without the wonderful movies that The Hallmark Channel lines up each year.

Getting cozy in front of the TV and The Hallmark Channel with a fire burning in the fireplace is one of the quintessential joys all Hallmark fans look forward to each year.

Christmas For Months On The Hallmark Channel!

For 12 years now the Hallmark Channel has graced our TV with a full lineup of cheerful Christmas movies and cuddling up to watch them in the months leading up to Christmas has become a tradition for fans of The Hallmark Channel.

The day it all starts is October 22 so those who don’t go in for Halloween festivities can jump right into Christmas before Halloween ever arrives.

Those of you who look for something lighter to watch during the normally dark Halloween holiday Hallmarks graces TVs with such classics as My Christmas Inn and Christmas Crush.

Christmas Takes Over Halloween On The Hallmark Channel

In September, a month before the Hallmark festivities began, The Hallmark Channel took to Twitter to announce the Hallmark celebration as a better option for Halloween writing, “Get ready to celebrate Halloween the [Hallmark Channel] way! Get in the holiday spirit because #CountdownToChristmas begins October 22!”

This year the feel-good channel announced that it was bringing 41 new Hallmark movies to bear for this holiday season and many fans are excited.

Hallmark Christmas – Some Viewers Aren’t Happy

Unfortunately, there are also Hallmark viewers that are tired of months-long programming that features only a Christmas theme.

When Hallmark announced Countdown to Christmas on Twitter, many views took it upon themselves to complain about it with one writing, “Those of us who like the change of seasons look forward to Halloween and mostly Thanksgiving to spend time with our loved ones and friends.

It’s bad enough that the our [sic] Country is fighting for health & prosperity, does shoving Christmas shopping down our throats make it better?”

Still another fan had more to say on the subject, writing, “Christmas isn’t that big of a deal.

My mother loves the Hallmark Channel but we’re both scratching our heads wondering why there are only Christmas movies from July until January.

Halloween and Thanksgiving are huge holidays, but they seem neglected because they’re not religious.”

So, we understand, Christmas celebrations that last the whole winter are not for everyone.

So, unfortunately for those people, they’ll have to tune into The Hallmark Channel after January 1 when they return to regular programming.
