It has just been confirmed that it will be moving to Great American Family for its upcoming season, following the success of two Christmas specials.
The new season will feature eight episodes; the initial episodes will celebrate the romance between Lillian Walsh (Morgan Kohan) and Mountie Gabriel (RJ Hatanaka).

When Hope Calls News – Here’s Who’s Returning
Morgan Kohan will return to her role as Lillian Walsh, Grace’s older sister who was adopted at a young age and separated from Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon).
Wendy Clewson is also returning as Tess Stewart, Charlie “Chuck” Stewart’s (Greg Hovanessian) mother, who owns the big local ranch. Chuck was also a veterinarian, who left in Season One.
Hanneke Talbot will reprise her role as Maggie Parsons. Additionally, Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka is back as Mountie Gabriel “Gabe” Kinslow.
When Hope Calls News – Here’s Who’s Not Returning
Jocelyn Hudon does not seem to be returning as Grace Bennett, as she was left off of the list of cast members reprising their roles in the press release. It was recently revealed that she was changed from recurring to series regular on the NBC series Chicago Fire-announced earlier this summer.
Grace departed for London at the end of the first season, and is revealed to have stayed and married there in “A Country Christmas.” The series followed Lillian and Grace, originally introduced in When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing, on the Hallmark Channel. They were two orphaned sisters, who were separated when Lillian was seven and Grace was five.
When Hope Calls News – Who’s New
Cindy Busby will be part of the season two cast, portraying a character named Nora; Nick Bateman is also joining the cast as Wyatt. Additionally, Christopher Russell will play the role of Constable, Mountie Michael who will be the new Brookfield constable.
Set against the backdrop of a frontier town, When Hope Calls follows the lives of those at the local orphanage as they face significant obstacles.
Together, they strive to build a vibrant, faith-centered community filled with hope, all while providing love and support to the children they nurture.
“When Hope Calls” is produced by executive producers Brad Krevoy, Cara Russell, Lorenzo Nardini, and Amy Krell, directed by Bradley Walsh, with the original screenplay by showrunner and writer Alfonso Moreno.
The official premiere dates will be published here as soon as they are released.
