When Hope Calls-Brookfield spoilers and updates tease things are not going smoothly for the charming residents of Brookfield.
For those not familiar, this is a spinoff of Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart, which takes place in the early 1900s and has a slightly revised title.
Nora Discovered Her Former Assistant Unwittingly Helped Bribe A Judge
At the conclusion of When Hope Calls Season 2, attorney Nora Anderson (Cindy Busby) discovered that her former assistant Zoey (Kate Rachesky) had unwittingly assisted in bribing a judge.
This directly affected the cases Nora had previously won before departing San Francisco for the picturesque Brookfield.
Currently, Nora ought to concentrate on managing the local orphanage, but she is anxious that those unlawful activities might catch up with her-threatening her developing relationship with Mountie Michael Fletcher (Christopher Russell).
“Season 3 begins the day after that revelation,” Busby shares; “Nora faces potential involvement in these bribery claims, leaving her in a state of doubt.
What implications does this have for her-naturally, Mountie Michael learns about it, and his reaction isn’t what Nora had wished for-this certainly introduces some challenges.”
Mountie Michael Is On The Verge Of Uncovering The Cattle Thieves’ Leader
Mountie Michael is on the verge of uncovering the true mastermind behind last season’s cattle raids, working alongside Constable Jim Reynolds (Trevor Donovan).
Naturally, the crimes were carried out by the outlaw Jerry Huntsman (Jesse Hutch), who has kidnapped Tess Stewart (Wendy Crewson), and the Mounties are preparing for a rescue mission.
Meanwhile, Nora faces additional challenges this season as her former mentor, Carter Williams (Michael Hanrahan), comes to discuss his perspective on the legal turmoil.
“We really get to see Nora in action as a lawyer [in Season 3], which we glimpsed a bit in Season 2,” Busby shares. “We’ll witness a more grounded, analytical aspect of her-she has romanticized her relationship with her old mentor, yet she’s uncertain about his honesty.”
There’s A Glimmer Of Hope In Nora’s Love Life
At least there’s a glimmer of hope in Nora’s love life: the young, new-in-town Rev. Joshua Daniels (Spartacus: House of Ashur‘s Simon Arblaster) “develops an affection for Nora,” Busby hints.
“We’ve got a love triangle brewing;” is Nora on the verge of being swept off her feet again; hopefully not in a literal sense this time! “I have so many exciting scenes,” Busby confirms.
“And, well, I won’t reveal too much, but the end of Season 3 brings not one, but two, or even three huge surprises that will leave viewers in shock,” the actress expresses with enthusiasm.
We’re eagerly anticipating our return to Brookfield. When Hope Calls: Brookfield, Season 3 Premiere, Sunday, April 5, 8/7c, Great American Family and GFAM+
