In a video on Instagram, Hunter King shared a moving and happy-tear-jerking video of her fiancé, Chris Copier, proposing marriage to the Hallmark star.

She has clearly found her true love and was looking forward to their nuptials. However, the Y&R alum had to postpone the ceremony. Read on to find out why.

Why did Hallmark’s Hunter King postpone her wedding to Chris Copier?

When Y&R alum Hunter King became engaged in the midst of a busy 2024, she famously starred in the hugely popular Hallmark movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Since then, Hunter has been busier than ever before. After starring in the sports-related movie on Hallmark, it seems she will now star in the spinoff of The Neighborhood.

When she got engaged to the love of her life, Chris Copier, she showed off her beautiful diamond engagement ring to Jenna and Hoda. Moreover, Chris accompanied Hunter on the first-ever Hallmark Cruise.

Waiting for her dream wedding

King has been in a whirlwind lately, so much so that she went to her Instagram to ask her fans to help her plan their wedding. She suddenly realized that the ceremony was only four months away, and with all that was happening in her acting life, Hunter wondered if she could manage to plan her dream wedding.

Hunter King recently featured on a recent episode of the Hearts of Stars podcast, where she revealed that she and her fiancé, Chris, had decided to postpone their wedding until 2026. She explained that while she does have help from a wedding planner, there was so much to do and due to this they had too many projects ongoing, along with other unknown factors.

Hunter King ‘the planning was just crazy!’

Firstl;y, King acknowledged that with their busy schedules, they realized that this was what they had to do. She shared with her fans:

I know I had put on Instagram that we were getting married in four months. And oh, my gosh, the planning was just crazy! It was getting overwhelming. Then we ran into a few snag with just, like, family events going on, and then things with our venue. And, so, we actually decided to push our wedding now to 2026.

Hunter didn’t elaborate on the problems with the venue, however, there was so much more going on in their lives.

CBS to still decide on The Neighborhood spinoff

While on the Heart Of Stars podcast, Hunter didn’t mention the problems with the venue, but she did share that the uncertainty of future projects played a role in the decision to postpone the wedding until 2026. Meanwhile, they didn’t know of The Neighborhood spinoff was happening, and had to guess about the schedule and how it would affect them if filming for the spinoff.

Moreover, CBS has yet to make a decision about The Neighborhood spinoff, making this a huge guessing game. Furthermore, a wedding cannot easily be changed. Thus, she revealed that they will now get married “early in 2026.”

Meanwhile, the pair is planning a destination wedding and they will tie the knot in Steven Piet, in Spain’s Mallorca. Hunter’s sisters, Kelli and Joey, married there, which seems to be a King family tradition. Having the wedding there would mean plenty of long-distance planning, which would be difficult given the Y&R alum’s busy schedule.
