This is the highly anticipated Hallmark Countdown to Christmas film created in partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs football team. Not only is this the network’s home turf, but it also serves as the backdrop for the blossoming romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The film features a delightful array of Chiefs players, head coach Andy Reid, and even Donna Kelce, Travis’s mother!

Interestingly, the movie was shot at Arrowhead Stadium during the sweltering summer months, which meant dealing with soaring temperatures while showcasing a chic wardrobe designed by Hallmark’s talented costume designer, Keith Nielsen. How did the star of The Professional Bridesmaid manage to cope?

Hunter King is starring alongside Tyler Hynes in the upcoming Hallmark Christmas film, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.

While viewers will enjoy the movie snuggled up in their comfy pajamas with a cup of hot cocoa, filming in the sweltering heat of July proved to be quite a challenge.

In an interview with TV Insider, Hunter revealed that it was tough due to the abundance of knitwear involved; “There’s a lot of knit. Sweaters, a lot of coats,” she explained. Since football games take place in the chilly Kansas City climate, wearing a tank top simply isn’t an option.

Nevertheless, she shared some tips on how she manages to stay cool, even when the set needs to appear icy.

Hallmark Spoilers – Hunter King Talks About The Dilemma

I find myself in the thick of it, drenched in sweat while others are saying, “It’s chilly, don’t forget?” as a bead of perspiration trickles down my face! At times, I resort to slipping an ice pack into the waistband of my pants for some relief.

There are also these handy little fans that clip onto your waistband and blow cool air upwards, which can be a lifesaver. However, once the action kicks in, it’s just me battling the heat again, surrounded by fans and water bottles; but hey, we’re making the most of the situation!

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story will debut on Saturday, November 30, at 8 p.m. Eastern time on the Hallmark Channel. Subscribers to Peacock can watch this new Christmas film for up to 72 hours following its premiere.
