Jen Lilley Celebrates Christmas In July
Famed for her Hallmark and GAC network appearances, Jen Lilley also has developed a reputation as a philanthropist. And the actress channels her desire to give into her Christmas Is Not Cancelled initiative. But in contrast to December 25, Jen celebrates her special program for a full month, reported People.
And she set some ambitious goals. For instance, this year Lilley hopes to provide new backpacks loaded with school supplies to more than 2,000 children in foster care. But she wants everyone to enjoy the process. “Christmas Is Not Cancelled started as a way to bring people together and to have fun while doing a lot of good for those in need,” explained Jen. And the program rewards “the givers with the chance to win incredible prizes along the way,” she added.
As a result, Lilley calls her initiative a “kindness campaign.” And during a period of unrest in much of the world, Jen hopes she can “spread love.” Reflecting on her goals, the actress shared her ultimate dream of restoring “our faith in humanity when the world needs it most.”
Jen Lilley Gets Involved In GAC Media
However, the Hallmark alum also celebrates Christmas in July through her new deal with GAC Media, reported Variety. The network chose Jen to host its first Great American Christmas In July event. And Lilly, after starring in Royally Wrapped for Christmas during the previous holiday season, combined her passion for Christmas movies with her charity work in an Instagram announcement.
In her caption, Jen wrote, “So honored to be hosting Great American Christmas in July this summer to bring you holiday cheer all year long and remind you that Christmas Is Not Cancelled ❤️🎄❤️🎄. Plus Camp Christmas In July is teaming up with @gactv and @sprinklepop.shop to host a “flour” power bake-a-thon event that pairs movies with giving back to kids in #fostercare. 🥹🥹 Sign up for camp and get your baking box by clicking the link in my bio. See you at Camp!!”
The busy actress and her husband Jason Wayne have become known for their efforts supporting foster care awareness. And the couple proudly adopted both their sons, sons Kayden, 5, and Jeffrey, 3, through foster care. In addition, Jen and Jason co-parent their daughters Julie, 3, and two-month-old baby Jackie.
Fans can look forward to seeing more of Lilley on the GAC network. As a result of her new contract with GAC Media, Jen will star in several original films during the next two years, reported Deadline. And her multi-picture deal follows her history of starring in holiday films for GAC’s rival, Hallmark.
