Janet Jackson is one pop star that normally doesn’t talk about the political world, but it looks like she couldn’t help but open up her thoughts about this year’s presidential election. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

The chart topper made some rather controversial statements about Vice President Kamala Harris by claiming that she’s “not black” and that her father is actually “white,” which is a claim that is false.

During her interview with The Guardian, Jackson was asked to share her thoughts about possibly having the first woman of color as the president of the United States.

That’s when Jackson said that she didn’t believe Kamala Harris to be white. She said, “Her father’s white. That’s what I was told. I mean, I haven’t watched the news in a few days. I was told that they discovered her father was white.”

Kamala’s father is Jamaican-American economist Donald J. Harris. He was born in Saint Ann’s Bay in Jamaica before moving to the United States and later to Canada.

Janet Jackson Believes The Presidential Election Will End In Mayhem

Jackson’s comments echoed that of Donald Trump’s, who has often stated that Kamala Harris is “Indian,” as her late mother was from India, and not “black.”

If that weren’t enough, Janet also said that she believes the 2024 presidential election will end in mayhem, or possibly worse than back in 2021, when right-wing supporters attacked the Capitol on January 6th of that year.

Janet said, “’I think there might be mayhem. Either way it goes, but we’ll have to see.’”

Now, whether or not this means Janet Jackson will be casting her vote for Donald Trump in November, no one really knows. The singer has not endorsed a candidate as of press time.
