According to the Futon Critic, the Sarah Drew penned movie A Carpenter Christmas Romance tells the story of Andrea, a novelist who wants to do something her fans don’t want her to. She plans to kill off her main character in her series of novels, which has upset her fan base badly. In fact, they refuse to accept it. Due to this, the pressure is on for Andrea, who needs to escape and runs back to her hometown of Wildwood, and her family’s farmhouse.

While there, Andrea can relax and spend time writing her latest book and killing off the beloved character. Moreover, she wants to get away from the pressures of the big city and hear herself think. However, Andrea is soon distracted, as she runs into her ex, Seth, and she is reminded of his incredible abs and million-dollar smile.

Seth lives in Wildwood and is an artisanal woodworker. However, he is currently working on more practical tasks. He is helping to rebuild the town after a devastating fire almost destroyed it and is not afraid of the challenge. Meanwhile, Andrea can see the symbolism of her wanting to burn down her popular series and rebuild with something new.

As she spends time with Seth, she starts to unravel her own situation and understand how she can rebuild. However, it doesn’t take long for sawdust and sparks of romance to fill the air as Andrea and Seth work together to reignite Wildwood’s Christmas spirit. Is this new relationship just a holiday fling or can they build a love that is made to last?
