The mother and daughter end up in the Los Angeles area under mysterious circumstances. Meanwhile, Lydia has become the Assistant Principal at Bellview High, where her daughter Elle is a senior.

The move is considered a reset for both the mother and daughter, but they also want to live a better life. In fact, they will do anything to achieve this, including some of the most cherished traditions. Meanwhile, Elle has one goal in mind – she wants to become homecoming queen and with Lydia by her side, she will stop at nothing to get the crown.
